What are the Teen Patti hand rankings from strongest to weakest?
One order, used on normal tables: Trail → Pure sequence → Sequence → Color → Pair → High card. Memorise that ladder and you’ll know who wins without arguing at the show.
What beats what in Teen Patti? (full list)
Trail / Trio / Set
Three cards same rank. A-A-A is best, 2-2-2 is worst trail.
Pure sequence (straight flush)
Three consecutive ranks, same suit. A-K-Q of one suit sits at the top of this tier.
Sequence (run)
Three consecutive ranks, mixed suits. A-2-3 counts as a sequence on standard tables (treated as the low run, not “bigger than Q-K-A”).
Color (flush)
Same suit, not in sequence. Two colors: compare highest card, then next, then third.
Pair
Two same rank + one kicker. Pair rank first (K-K beats Q-Q); if pairs match, higher kicker wins.
High card
Nothing matched. Highest card wins, then second, then third. A high beats K high.
What if both players have the same type of hand?
Same category: Compare rank strength inside that category (higher trail beats lower trail; higher pair beats lower pair).
Pairs tied: Use the kicker. K-K-9 beats K-K-7.
Color or high card tied on top card: Move to the next card, then the third.
Suits in classic Teen Patti: Suit usually does not break ties on standard tables. (House rules in rare variants can differ — check the room.)
People also ask about rankings
Is A-2-3 the biggest sequence or the smallest?
On classic Teen Patti tables it’s a valid sequence and sits at the low end of sequences — not above Q-K-A. Some casual house games argue otherwise; in-app classic follows the low-run treatment.
Is sequence bigger than color?
Yes. Order is pure sequence → sequence → color. A mixed-suit run beats a non-sequential flush.
Does suit ever decide the winner?
Not in standard ranking. Only rank structure and card values. Variants can invent extra rules.
Where is Muflis / low-hand ranking?
Muflis flips the goal (worst hand wins). Separate mode — don’t mix it with this list. See Modes.
